ABOUT ME

Aliki Georgiou
Photographer & Filmmaker
My name is Aliki, I am a first time mama to my sun, Spiro and a documentary filmmaker, producer and director by day. I make feature length documentaries that I am honoured and grateful have travelled the world. I also produce and direct media and commercial content. I am so lucky to love my job.
However, my first love has always been photography. After the release of my first feature length doc (which took 4 years to make) I was completely depleted and burnt out. Whilst the doc world is incredibly rewarding and I absolutely love it, I needed something completely creative and artistic for my soul, and so I got back into my photography and with Jacqui-Lee Katz, we started Wild & Co. Photography.
After a beautiful journey together, now it is time for me to shoot under my own name.
It makes me feel so fulfilled to be a witness to happiness, celebration, love, family and life. It balances my soul and revitalizes my energy.
After becoming a mama 25 months ago, and being thrown into the chaos, rawness and beauty that is postpartum; motherhood came into sharp focus. I am so passionate about motherhood and postpartum, in all its vulnerability, strength, difficulties and joy - which is why I have thrown my energy into maternity and family photography.
I would love my work to represent the rawness and poetry of parenthood; a timeless stamp that marks a history of life where we meet it. I know as a mama how important this is to me, and I hope to help others with their collections of memories too.
There is something so sacred for me in being able to mark authentic moments of the everyday, and I feel it a huge honour to be able to do that for families.
Thank you for telling this story with me. I’m so excited to grow with you.
